Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Nicolas Jackson will miss the club’s trip to West Ham. He recently revealed that the Senegalese international would be absent as he explores a move away from the club.
Speaking to the press, Maresca said that while Jackson is not injured, he is focused on exploring his options before the transfer window closes.

According to him, he is happy with João Pedro and Liam Delap as his striker options, and he looks forward to both forwards delivering the goods for Chelsea this season.
“He is available but he is not going to be part of the squad because as we already said, we have two strikers, two players in that position and also we know that something can happen before the transfer window closes,” he said.
Maresca further noted that Wesley Fofana’s return from injury is good news for the team because he is a quality defender.
The Spanish manager concluded by saying that he spoke with the English CB throughout his layoff, so it is good to have him back.
“I spoke with Wes every day. He is very, very happy firstly because he is back from the injury.
He is joining in all the sessions with us. He is very happy and as I said after the Palace game, he was on the bench just to be with us but from tomorrow he is with us and he can also get some minutes.
He is happy and we are happy. As for Instagram, as you know unfortunately I don’t have any idea because I don’t use [any] social network.
Wes is happy, we are happy and there is nothing to add on that. Now, I think if there is abuse on Instagram, it is never good. It is not good for Wes, not good for any player and not good for any human being in the world. But it is something unfortunately that we cannot control,” he said.
