The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Shiroro Local Government Area has suspended its Assistant Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Auta, over allegations of anti-party activities.
The suspension, which took effect immediately, was announced by the ADC Shiroro Local Government Chairman, Hon. Tanko Galadima, during a press conference.
According to Galadima, Auta was accused of issuing fraudulent party membership cards, extortion, and failing to register individuals in the official ward register.

He further alleged that Auta had misrepresented himself as the current chairman of the party, organised fake meetings, and instigated division within the ranks of the party.
“These actions have not only violated the party’s constitution but also tarnished the reputation of the ADC in Shiroro,” Galadima stated.
He disclosed that the decision to suspend Auta received the backing of all 25 local government chairmen of the party in Niger State, in support of the state chairman, Hassan Musa.
Additionally, a letter signed by 15 members of the Egwa Ward Executive called on the state leadership to set up an investigative committee to probe Auta’s conduct, which they said contravened Article 22 of the ADC constitution.
Galadima reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and accountability, stressing that the ADC leadership in the state would continue to uphold its integrity and ensure discipline among its members.
