The Action Alliance (AA) has dissociated itself from reports linking the party to a group purportedly supporting the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ondo State.
In a statement made available to Daily Post on Friday, the Ondo State Chairman of the party, Abdullah Olowokere, said the group known as the Progressive Network for Tinubu (PNT) has no affiliation with the Action Alliance at either state or national level.
Olowokere faulted the promoters of the PNT, insisting that under the leadership of its National Chairman, Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, the Action Alliance remains an independent political party that is not beholden to external influence.

“The party is not entering into any alliances with pro-Tinubu campaign organisations, including the PNT or any other support group for Tinubu. Under Omoaje’s leadership, the party remains focused, determined, and pragmatic,” he stated.
He dismissed as “erroneous and misleading” the claims credited to the Ondo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Ade Adetimehin, that the AA was involved in an arrangement allegedly facilitated by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Olowokere further warned that any individual parading themselves as representatives of the Action Alliance at meetings or political forums should be regarded as impersonators, noting that the party’s authentic leadership was not aware of, nor did it participate in, such gatherings.
He called on the APC leadership in Ondo State and the Presidency to scrutinise individuals claiming to represent the AA, stressing that in Ondo State, the Action Alliance is under his leadership, while any potential alliance at the national level can only emanate from the National Executive Council led by Dr. Adekunle Rufai Omoaje.
The AA chairman urged caution, warning political actors to be wary of impostors “posing as leaders and members of the Action Alliance” in the state.
