The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will return to power in Osun State in 2026.
Oyetola, a former governor of the state, gave the assurance on Monday during a special prayer session held in Iragbiji to mark his 71st birthday.
He commended party members in the state for their loyalty, unity, and dedication to the APC, describing their commitment as the driving force behind the party’s renewed strength.

“We are committed and fully prepared to return our great party, the APC, to government in Osun come 2026,” Oyetola declared.
The minister noted that the prevailing peace and cohesion within the party would serve as a major advantage as it prepares for the next governorship election.
“Your unwavering commitment to the unity, oneness, and progress of the party keeps us going and strengthens our collective resolve,” he added.
Oyetola also urged APC leaders and members across Osun to remain steadfast, disciplined, and focused, stressing that the party’s past achievements demonstrated its resilience and ability to deliver on promises.
He expressed appreciation to his supporters and the organisers of the birthday prayer, describing their show of solidarity as both humbling and deeply encouraging.
Reiterating his optimism, Oyetola said unity and consistency would guarantee the APC’s return to power in Osun during the 2026 governorship election.
