Florentino Perez Said Benfica Is A Club Of My Calibre – Mourinho

Benfica manager Jose Mourinho has said that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez sent a message to him upon his return to the Portuguese club. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, Perez told him he was happy to see him return to a club of his calibre, and their conversation was further proof of the mutual love and admiration shared between them.

His words, “I’d like to say that President Florentino sent me a message saying, ‘I’m very happy that you’ve returned to a club of your calibre,’ and to hear this from the president of Real Madrid himself.”

Mourinho arrived at the Bernabeu in 2010 after firing Inter to a historic continental treble. In his three years as Los Blancos’ head coach, the Portuguese won three titles, including La Liga in 2011-12 and the Copa del Rey in 2010-11.
