Pogba Can Play His Way Back Into The French Team – Deschamps

France head coach Didier Deschamps has said that Pogba can make his return to the national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, the 32-year-old can definitely earn a recall to Les Bleus’ squad, but he needs to focus on playing consistently for Monaco before that can happen.

Deschamps added that he’d want a fully fit Pogba back in the team because he is such a quality footballer.

His words, “Yes, he’s getting closer to the moment when he’ll become a football player again. A return to the French team? That he wants it and that it’s a goal in his mind, I have no doubt. After that, he has steps to take. The next one is when he has the Monaco jersey and sets foot on the pitch. I hope it goes well for him. After that, we’ll see. That’s all I wish for him, just to get through this first step. That will be a huge joy for him.

Whether it’s possible [to return to the France team], if I say yes, it will be: ‘Wow, Pogba’s back.’ If I say no, I’ll look like an idiot, so that’s not going to work either. That’s all the bad I wish for him to already get through this first stage.”
