Hollywood actor George Clooney has said that he still considers the 1977 movie “Batman & Robin” to be a failure. He recently revealed that the project taught him a lesson he won’t forget in a hurry.
Speaking during a group interview at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, “Jay Kelly,” at the Egyptian Theatre, Clooney admitted that learning from the failure of the film has helped him in the long run.

According to him, the film that currently holds a low review of 11% on Rotten Tomatoes made him realize that human beings don’t learn from succeeding, and it’s our failures that teach us to be better.
“Batman & Robin! I learned a lot [from] that one.
You don’t learn from succeeding — you learn from failing, and then you have to figure it out along the way, so it’s helpful,” he said.
Admitting that the superhero movie failed completely, Clooney noted that the reality directly influenced the roles he started accepting from then on.
He concluded by saying that “Batman & Robin” was not just a bad project; he was also a bad actor in it.
“I wasn’t good in it, it wasn’t a good film. What I learned from that failure was that I had to relearn how I was working. Now, I wasn’t just an actor getting a role, I was being held responsible for the film itself. So the next three films I did were Three Kings, Out of Sight and O Brother, Where Art Thou?
That was a very specific choice for me to find better projects,” he added.
