Popular Nigerian senator Ned Nwoko has finally responded to the viral apology video made by the young man who accused him of plotting to harm his estranged wife, Regina Daniels. He recently had his say via a press statement, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the incident is proof that Nigeria’s social media space has become one of the most unregulated in the world, with citizens freely making damaging allegations just to get clicks.

Ned added that the sad trend continues because many offenders believe they can stir public emotions, avoid consequences, and later return with an apology when things go south.
His words, “The accompanying video trended a couple of days ago. It is testament to the fact that Nigerian social media space has become one of the most unregulated in the world. Laying very serious allegations has become a common trait to attract millions of views without recourse to the damaging effects on the people involved.
You can’t lie to make money and turn around to apologize after criminally defaming and hurting people.
It’s Senator Ned today, who knows who is next?”
WOW.
