Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor, in a statewide broadcast on Friday, announced that he defected alongside his entire cabinet and all officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
According to Fintiri, the decision was taken in the developmental interest of the people of Adamawa State.
Recall that the governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, as well as his counterparts in Kano State and Plateau State — Abba Yusuf and Caleb Muftwang, respectively — recently joined the ruling party.
