Ex-Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has apologised for his previous criticism of Benjamin Sesko. This comes amid the Manchester United forward’s improved form under Michael Carrick, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, despite previously claiming that Sesko was not good enough for a club the size of United, the Slovenian international has proven him wrong with recent performances.
He concluded by saying that he genuinely thought the former RB Leipzig striker would end up like Wout Weghorst.
His words, “I based my assessment on the Benjamin Sesko I saw playing under Ruben Amorim – a striker who didn’t want to stand up and take a penalty at Grimsby. Even the staunchest Man United fans will admit that he wasn’t living up to expectations last year. I originally thought he’d turn out exactly like Wout Weghorst did and be another failed signing for the Red Devils, but I’ve been proven wrong and I owe him an apology!”

The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
