A former President of the Senate, David Mark, has criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying the ruling party lacks the capacity to effectively address the worsening insecurity in the country.
Mark made the assertion on Wednesday in Abuja during a stakeholders’ meeting with party members and supporters, where he expressed concern over the persistent wave of violence across several parts of Nigeria.
He noted that despite repeated assurances by the APC-led Federal Government, insecurity has continued to escalate, leaving citizens vulnerable and communities displaced.

“The truth must be told. The current administration has not demonstrated the required capacity to tackle insecurity decisively,” he said.
The former Senate President stressed that the protection of lives and property remains the primary responsibility of any government, warning that failure in that regard undermines public trust and national stability.
According to him, Nigerians deserve a government capable of guaranteeing their safety and restoring confidence in the nation’s security architecture.
