Former BBNaija housemate Venita Akpofure has opened up on the importance of setting clear boundaries in both personal and professional relationships. She recently had her say during an interview with Saturday Beats, and fans have been reacting.
Stressing that being overly accessible can often be misinterpreted, she noted that it is sometimes better to be seen as unfriendly, as long as you are respected.

Venita added that trying to be friendly with everyone has a way of attracting disrespect.
Her words, “You just need not to be too friendly. When you are too friendly, people take your friendliness as a sign of access. It’s better to be called a ‘bitch’, to be feared and respected, than to be seen as too casual. That’s how I see it.
My move from modelling to acting isn’t something I’d call reinvention; it’s more of an expansion. And honestly, staying relevant hasn’t been overly difficult for me. We bless God.
Many public figures don’t understand that there will be pauses at some point. If you don’t learn how to adapt or flip the script organically, you may end up stuck and forgotten.
All versions of me serve me. I don’t let the baby part of me go. I don’t let the girl part of me go. I don’t let the teenage me go.”
WOW.

The first season of the show first aired on DStv Channel 37 from March 5 to June 4, 2006. In a twist to the game, two new contestants were introduced on Day 23, much to the excitement of the remaining housemates.
Ebuka, the most popular housemate for several weeks into the show and widely believed to emerge the winner was the seventh housemate to be evicted; many viewers blame the Joe’s Fan Club (JFC) for his eviction. Joe himself was soon evicted from the show.
Big Brother added another twist to the game on day 79 by cancelling the day’s scheduled nominations and making the housemates believe they will instead be evicted based on their performances on assigned tasks while in reality no more evictions were held and viewers began voting for the winner who turned out to be 26-year-old Katung Aduwak.
