The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has extended the dates for the submission of nomination forms, screening of candidates and other primary election activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday.
According to Abdullahi, the adjustments were made in response to requests from aspirants and logistical considerations.

“Adjustments have been made to the primary elections timetable in response to aspirant requests and logistical considerations. Affected items are indicated accordingly. All other previously published dates remain unchanged,” he said.
He explained that the submission of nomination forms, earlier scheduled for May 13, 2026, has been shifted to May 14, 2026.
Abdullahi further stated that the screening of aspirants, initially fixed for May 14 and 15, 2026, will now hold from May 16 to May 17, 2026.
According to the revised timetable, the publication of screening results will take place on May 17, 2026, while appeals arising from screening decisions will be entertained from May 18 to May 19, 2026.
The party added that the final list of cleared candidates will be published on May 20, 2026.
ADC also announced that post-primary election appeals for legislative elections will hold on May 22, 2026, while governorship election appeals are scheduled for May 23, 2026.
The party fixed presidential election appeals for May 26, 2026.
The statement further clarified that screening of presidential and governorship aspirants would be conducted in Abuja, while legislative aspirants would be screened in their respective states.
On concessions for women and persons with disabilities, the party said the existing 25 per cent discount remains in effect.
“Aspirants who may have submitted amounts in excess of this rate are advised that refunds will be processed and communicated in due course,” the statement added.
