Manchester City midfielder Rayan Cherki can be as good as Kevin De Bruyne, Gael Clichy has said. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Noting that Cherki‘s move to City will help him balance his defensive and offensive duties, Clichy revealed that he is capable of undergoing the mental reset required to handle all phases of play.

Gael added that if the Frenchman continues to hone his work rate out of possession, his creative ceiling will be limitless.
His words, “Working with Pep can either make you or break you. It is a simple choice, really – because if you listen and go with what he wants, then, with the quality Rayan has, you have a good chance of becoming great. If, on the other hand, you don’t understand what Pep wants, and you don’t really want to go his way, you can break that relationship.
Rayan was always an outstanding talent, in terms of his quality, but you need to understand that football is about more than just having the ball – you need to work on your game out of possession too. I always thought if he could do that, and add that to his game, he is going to be trusted by his coaches – and then we could be talking about a player that gets close to Kevin de Bruyne with his statistics for making goals.”
WOW.
