Activist and member of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Aisha Yesufu, has urged her supporters to remain focused on ensuring the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, wins the 2027 general election and is sworn into office.
Yesufu made the appeal in a message posted on her X handle on Thursday, calling on supporters to avoid distractions and concentrate on the party’s presidential campaign.
According to her, discussions that do not relate to Obi’s 2027 presidential ambition should be disregarded for now.

“My dear supporters, remember, we have moved on and focused on the bigger picture.
“Any conversation that is not about the 2027 presidential election and how to get Peter Obi elected and sworn into office, please ignore.
“After the 2027 General Elections, we will have the luxury to respond if it is worth our time. For now, we will continue with our tunnel vision on the presidential election,” she wrote.
Yesufu, a prominent supporter of Obi, recently participated in the NDC primary election for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) senatorial seat but was unsuccessful in her bid to secure the party’s ticket.
Her comments come amid ongoing political activities and preparations by parties and aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections.
