Former African Democratic Congress (ADC) member, Dr Aslam Aliyu, has declared that there will be no vacancy in the Presidential Villa until 2031, expressing confidence that President Bola Tinubu will be re-elected in the 2027 presidential election.
Aliyu, an ally of ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar before her defection, made the remarks in a statement issued in Abuja while announcing her resignation from the ADC and defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
She described the ADC as a “hoax” and said her decision to join the APC followed years of working with the opposition, which she claimed lacked a practical blueprint for Nigeria’s development.

According to Aliyu, the opposition has failed to provide sustainable solutions to the country’s challenges and has been unable to build trust among its members.
“After almost twenty years of working hard to make progress, it’s very clear that the opposition doesn’t have a real plan for development or a practical and lasting solution to save the country,” she said.
Aliyu further alleged that the ADC’s strategy was centred on criticising the Federal Government without presenting credible alternatives.
“Nigeria is fed up with political figures who only take photos and act like they’re filming, but don’t really care about the country,” she added.
She urged her supporters to join the APC, expressing confidence that President Tinubu would secure another four-year term in office.
“There are no available rooms in Aso Rock Villa because President Tinubu will win the presidential election in 2027, thanks to Almighty Allah,” Aliyu stated.
