The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has officially parted ways with head coach Pape Thiaw. This comes following the national team’s round of 32 exit from the 2026 World Cup, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking via a press statement, the federation confirmed that President Abdoulaye Fall will hold a press conference on Monday to further explain the reasons behind Thiaw‘s sack.

FSF added that Abdoulaye will also speak in detail about the future of the national team.
It read, “After a thorough evaluation of the sporting results and prospects of the national team, the Executive Committee deemed it necessary to initiate this procedure in the best interests of Senegalese football.”
