Halimat Omidina, the lastborn and daughter of late veteran Yoruba actor Baba Suwe has recalled the emotional final conversation she had with her father before his death. She recently had her say via posts on her X handle, as she marked her late father’s posthumous birthday.
In an emotional tribute, Halimat shared that the occasion felt different without the celebrations and memories she once shared with her father.

Noting that her father regularly spoke about his death, his daughter added that she regrets not hugging him more whenever he predicted his demise.
Her words, “Happy posthumous birthday, Daddy. Today feels so different, no crowd, no jollof rice, no you in your new shirt.
I wish I made more memories with you and hugged you tighter when you told me you’d die. May Allah have mercy on you and grant you Jannatul Firdaus.
This could’ve been my mood today. Someone asked if Daddy ever told me he was going to die.
Yes, he did. Two days before, he told me, but I laughed it off. I thought he was joking.
The next day, I got a call to come home. He couldn’t talk anymore, and an hour later, he passed.”
