Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has called for unity within the squad. This comes after Julian Alvarez was subjected to a hostile reception from his own supporters.
Backing his teammate, the veteran Slovenian goalie stressed the need to support Alvarez while he remains an Atletico Madrid player.

The manager confirmed that the striker was escorted directly to the dressing room to avoid further confrontation with the angry stands.
His words, “We all need to be united. Julian is here, he’s with us in the team and while he’s with us, we’re going to support him and we want him in the best way. Unfortunately, it’s a situation that isn’t comfortable for anyone, but hopefully all that is sorted out and at the end of the season we can all be happy.”
Simeone added, “People at the club told me that the club decided he shouldn’t go near the stands or the fans. It was the club’s decision to keep him away and separate him so he could go to the locker room.”
