The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has called for an investigation into an alleged attack on the family home of one of its members in Rivers State.
The party condemned the incident, describing it as unacceptable and a threat to the safety of its members and their families.
The ADC urged security agencies to investigate the attack and identify those responsible.
It also called on relevant authorities to ensure that political activities in the state are conducted in a peaceful environment without intimidation or violence.
The party stressed that its members should be allowed to participate in political activities without fear of attacks or harassment.
The ADC further urged the Rivers State Government and security agencies to take necessary measures to protect residents and prevent similar incidents.
The development comes amid heightened political activities and realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
