The Labour Party, LP, in Adamawa State has suspended four of its members over an alleged plot to remove the state chairman, Nicholas Christopher.
The party said the affected members were suspended following allegations that they were involved in activities aimed at destabilising the state chapter and removing its leadership.
The LP leadership maintained that the alleged actions were contrary to the party’s constitution and directives.
It urged members to remain committed to the party and avoid activities capable of creating division within its ranks.
The party also warned that disciplinary measures would be taken against any member found to be working against its leadership or organisational structure.
The suspension comes amid internal political developments and preparations by political parties across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
