A presidential aide has criticised former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, over his continued emphasis on President Bola Tinubu’s past records.
The aide described Obi’s focus on Tinubu’s previous political record as “ludicrous,” arguing that the former governor should concentrate on present issues rather than repeatedly revisiting the President’s past.

The presidential aide maintained that Tinubu’s performance should be assessed based on his actions and policies since assuming office.
He accused Obi and other opposition figures of attempting to use past records to discredit the President ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, Nigerians are more interested in solutions to the challenges facing the country than political arguments centred on events from the past.
The aide urged opposition politicians to present their own programmes and policy alternatives instead of focusing exclusively on Tinubu.
The development comes amid an escalating exchange between the Presidency and opposition figures as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
