A United States-based firm has alleged that President Bola Tinubu is making efforts to manipulate the 2027 general elections in his favour.
The firm raised concerns over what it described as developments capable of undermining the credibility of the electoral process ahead of the presidential election.

It alleged that the Tinubu administration was taking steps aimed at securing an electoral advantage and potentially influencing the outcome of the 2027 poll.
The organisation urged relevant stakeholders, including electoral authorities, security agencies and civil society groups, to remain vigilant and ensure that the election is conducted transparently.
It also called for measures to strengthen Nigeria’s electoral institutions and prevent any attempt to compromise the integrity of the voting process.
The allegations come amid growing political tensions and increasing preparations by political parties and opposition groups ahead of the 2027 elections.
However, the claims remain allegations, and no independent evidence establishing that President Tinubu is planning to rig the election was presented in the report.
The development underscores the growing concerns among political stakeholders over the credibility and transparency of the 2027 electoral process.
Stakeholders have continued to call on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and political parties to ensure that the election is free, fair, credible and peaceful.
