2027: Benue APC Stakeholders Back Alia, Tinubu for Re-election

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State have declared their support for Governor Hyacinth Alia and President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The stakeholders made their position known during a meeting of the party’s leadership and members in Makurdi, the state capital.

The meeting brought together party leaders, elected officials and other stakeholders who reaffirmed their commitment to the APC ahead of the elections.

The stakeholders said they would work together to ensure the re-election of Alia as governor and support Tinubu’s bid for another term as president.

They cited what they described as the administration’s efforts to address development challenges in the state and at the federal level as reasons for their support.

The stakeholders also called on APC members in Benue to remain united and avoid actions capable of creating divisions within the party ahead of the 2027 polls.

They emphasised the need for party leaders and members to work collectively to strengthen the APC’s structure across the state and mobilise voters ahead of the elections.

The meeting further provided an opportunity for the stakeholders to discuss strategies for strengthening the party at the grassroots and ensuring effective coordination among its various organs.

The stakeholders pledged to support the implementation of programmes and policies of the Alia administration while also mobilising support for the Tinubu-led Federal Government.

They maintained that internal unity would be critical to the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections, urging members to place the interests of the party above individual differences.

The declaration adds to the growing political activities in Benue as parties and their supporters begin to intensify mobilisation and alignments ahead of the 2027 governorship and presidential elections.
