FFP: Hand MUFC Another EPL Title After Man City Verdict – Ferdinand

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has asked the Premier League to retrospectively award his former club another EPL title. This comes in the wake of a bombshell verdict that found Manchester City guilty of nearly all financial misconduct charges brought against them.

Taking to his X account, Ferdinand made his feelings clear regarding the potential redistribution of silverware, having played a key role when United finished runners-up to City in the dramatics of the 2011-12 Premier League season.

The retired defender expressed his desire to see his medal count increased following the official ruling on City’s financial conduct during that era.

His words, “Another premier league medal to be added to the cabinet.”

Ex-Liverpool full-back Jose Enrique added, “Is already here!!! Thank you premier league and send me the medal soon too.”

Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.

Nicknamed the Red Devils, they were founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, but changed their name to Manchester United in 1902. After a spell playing in Clayton, Manchester, the club moved to their current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.
