The vice-presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM, Lawal Daura, has warned individuals and groups planning to manipulate the 2027 general elections that they will face resistance.
Daura issued the warning in Abuja during the inauguration of the National Campaign Management Committee of the Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation.

The former Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, said the APM would oppose any attempt to undermine the electoral process and ensure compliance with the Electoral Act.
According to him, political parties should seek the support of Nigerians through their programmes, policies and candidates rather than resorting to electoral manipulation.
Daura said those planning to rig the 2027 elections should not assume that such attempts would go unchallenged.
He also noted that Nigeria’s voter population had surpassed 100 million, describing the figure as significant ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The APM candidate said the party’s focus would be on mobilising voters and presenting its candidates and policies to the electorate.
He added that the campaign organisation would work towards securing broad support for the APM presidential ticket while maintaining that the election must reflect the choices of Nigerian voters.
The warning comes as political parties intensify preparations and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
