The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has congratulated Super Eagles midfielder Alexander Iwobi on reaching a significant milestone in the EPL. Recall that Iwobi became the joint-second most-capped African player in the competition alongside Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
Iwobi, who earned his 100th international cap for Nigeria during a friendly against Portugal this summer at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria, has now made 328 appearances in the Premier League.

Reacting, NFF’s Acting General Secretary, Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, MON, hailed the 30-year-old for his achievement and expressed optimism that he would go on to set a new record.
His words, “The NFF celebrates Alex Iwobi for this new achievement, and we wish him even greater glory.
We will be very happy to see him become the African with the most appearances in the Premier League in the near future.”
Kolo Touré remains the African player with the most Premier League appearances in the league’s history, having featured for several English clubs during his career.
