– New team focused on delivering profitable growth and enhanced market share –
TmaxSoft, a specialist in middleware and enterprise IT infrastructure, has made three new strategic appointments to its sales, operations, and customer delivery teams. The new appointments will further strengthen the senior management team within the company, establishing a robust platform for growth in the UK.
Founded in 1997, TmaxSoft’s portfolio of mission-critical enterprise software includes OpenFrame, a high-performance and highly scalable Mainframe re-hosting solution, the TIBERO relational database management system, and JEUS, a web application server for Java EE.
The company is a dominant player in its native South Korea, with over 40 per cent of the domestic market, but more than 30 per cent of TmaxSoft’s sales are now international. The company’s growth in the UK is being driven by trends in cloud computing and Big Data. The recent appointments have been made to firmly establish the company in the market and support its ambitious growth plans.
James Mills has been appointed as Sales Director at TmaxSoft. Previously, he took the position of Northern European Sales Director at OpenText. Working within their portfolio business, he has over 26 years’ experience in software sales including direct and indirect channels, packaged software and services, and bespoke solutions.
The second key appointment is that of Robert Pogmore as Pre-Sales Technical Consultant. Previously, he worked as a Senior Technical Consultant providing technical and database consultancy on behalf of Capita Integrated Business solutions’ financials product. Working with local government, NHS, housing associations, not-for-profit organisations, and private businesses, he has over 14 years in the industry.
The final appointment is that of Hilary Warner as Operations Manager, who has over 15 years in IT starting in the mainframe era. A Korean speaker herself, she has over a decade of involvement with the Korean community in the UK.
UK Managing Director Joe Kim, stated: “TmaxSoft is now poised to take advantage of the projected growth in the market for organisations looking to modernise their legacy IT infrastructure. The drive of many enterprises is to focus on improving high volume transaction processing – especially within the finance and banking sectors – and this has ideally positioned the company in the market. Our solutions relentlessly focus on delivering increased operational efficiencies, cost control and enhanced risk management, while delivering a more agile technology solution. This lies at the heart of our product suite and the team we now have in place will be at the forefront of delivering this to the market.”
The company recently announced that its expansion into the UK market will be driven by the development of its partner network. TmaxSoft is targeting value-added resellers and systems integrators.
“We are looking for specialist partners with a strong understanding of modernisation for legacy IT infrastructure. This will help us fulfil the needs of organisations as, due to the greater complexity of new transformational projects, it begins to make current solutions obsolete,” Kim concluded.
