Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has appealed to Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election, describing himself as a street-smart politician.
Oborevwori made the appeal while speaking at a political gathering, where he called on Deltans to back the President for another term in office.
The governor expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and urged residents of the state to support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as preparations for the next general election gather momentum.
He also presented himself as a politician with grassroots experience, saying his understanding of the political environment and connection with ordinary people informed his description of himself as street-smart.
Oborevwori’s remarks come amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections, with leaders across political parties intensifying consultations and seeking support for their preferred candidates.
The governor, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, has continued to mobilise support for the ruling party in Delta State.
His latest appeal reflects the APC’s efforts to consolidate its political presence in the state and secure support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
