Nigerians Have Normalized Electoral Misconduct – Patoranking

Popular Afrobeats star Patoranking has praised the peaceful conduct of the recent United States midterm elections. He recently had his say via his X page, and fans have been reacting.

Pointing out the sharp contrast between American electoral conduct and what Nigerians have come to accept as normal, Patoranking expressed sadness that systemic dysfunction in Nigeria has conditioned citizens to normalise bad behaviour during elections.

The “Abule” crooner added that decades of electoral violence, ballot snatching and voter intimidation have gradually become accepted as part of the country’s political fabric rather than treated as the crises they truly are.
