Tottenham Deserved To Lose Against Leeds United – De Zerbi

Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has blasted his team’s lacklustre second-half display against Leeds United. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

Stressing that his players did not have the right character and physicality in the second half, De Zerbi stated that Spurs clearly deserved to lose against a better team.

The Italian manager added that he expects his team to learn from their mistakes at Elland Road.

His words, “We deserved to lose the game in the second half and didn’t play like we can. It’s a journey for us, because we can learn from this game.

I am sorry for the performance in the second half – we didn’t play like a top team. We didn’t have the right character and physicality in the second half.

Pedro Porro’s was a duel and an incredible yellow card. The first situation of Mathys Tel I didn’t see, I can’t say nothing.

No. I have big confidence in the referee. Nothing changes if he goes to the monitor. If they didn’t take the right decision I don’t know. We have to keep the eyes on the performance where can improve.”
