The members of African Democratic Congress (ADC) are embattled in Ondo State.
On Thursday, the party sanctioned its state executive that declared support for candidates of other political parties.
Some of them either endorsed Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) or Eyitayo Jegede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer.
Mr. Peter Edeh, the ADC Vice Chairman, at the party’s grand finale rally in Akure, stated that such members have been suspended for being anti-party.
He named Ibrahim Rasheed as new acting Chairman and Timothy Akinola as acting Secretary in Ondo.
National Chairman, Ralphs Nwosu, represented by Ibrahim Suleiman, described the party’s candidate, Dapo Adelegan, as the most credible politician.
In his remarks, Mr. Adelegan stated he was confident of victory on Saturday.
