The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Niger State has called on women across the three senatorial zones to actively participate in politics by contesting for elective positions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Musa Hassan, made the call in Minna, encouraging female aspirants to vie for positions ranging from local government councillorship to seats in the Niger State House of Assembly.
Hassan reaffirmed the party’s commitment to inclusivity, particularly for women and persons with disabilities, whom he described as critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s development.

“Women and persons with disabilities make up a significant portion of our population. They play vital roles in nation-building, and the ADC is committed to giving them equal opportunities to serve,” he said.
The ADC chairman also expressed concern over the nation’s worsening insecurity and rising unemployment, noting that many Nigerians had resorted to commercial tricycle and taxi operations as alternative sources of livelihood.
“The party is developing policies to address these economic challenges and transform the nation,” he added.
Hassan criticised the current administration for its inability to fix the country’s persistent challenges in the power and education sectors despite abundant resources, insisting that the ADC has the vision and leadership capacity to drive national transformation if given the mandate in 2027.
He urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to participate actively in the coming elections.
“The same Almighty who gave the current administration power can also grant it to the ADC in 2027,” he remarked.
