The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday flagged off its nationwide membership revalidation, mobilisation and registration exercise, alongside the inauguration of state committees to oversee the process.
The event, which took place in Abuja, was attended by members of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), party leaders, key stakeholders and supporters from across the country.

The party leadership described the exercise as a strategic and transformative step aimed at strengthening the ADC’s internal structures, deepening grassroots engagement and repositioning the party for greater national impact.
ADC urged members to actively participate in the process to ensure the development of a credible, updated and inclusive membership database.
The leadership also announced that the newly issued membership card under the exercise supersedes all previously issued ADC membership cards, which are now invalid.
“Consequently, all members are required to complete the revalidation and registration process in order to retain their active membership status and full privileges within the party,” the statement read.
The party further disclosed that the inauguration of the State Membership Revalidation, Mobilisation and Registration (MRMR) Committees underscores its commitment to transparency, accountability and effective coordination at the state level.
According to the ADC, the committees have been mandated to ensure a smooth, transparent and successful implementation of the exercise nationwide.
The party reiterated its resolve to deepen democratic values, expand its membership base and build what it described as a stronger, people-centred political movement across Nigeria.
