The African Democratic Congress, ADC, at the national level has recognised Barrister Sadiq Dasin as the Interim Chairman of the party in Adamawa State.
This follows weeks of power tussle in the state chapter, where three individuals laid claim to the interim leadership position of the party.
InfoStride News reports that the crisis pitched loyalists of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, against those of Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani, while the incumbent chairman, Shehu Yohanna, insisted he remained the substantive party leader.

The National Working Committee, NWC, of the ADC had on October 8 approved the setting up of Interim Executive Committees to steer the affairs of the party in Adamawa.
Subsequently, Dasin emerged as the interim chairman in a process supervised by the party’s National Vice Chairman for the North East.
While Lawal’s bloc aligned behind Dasin, Binani’s faction declared support for Saidu Komsiri, with Yohanna maintaining that he remained the duly recognised state chairman.
However, stepping in to end the dispute, the national leadership of the ADC, in a statement issued on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, affirmed that Dasin’s emergence was in line with the NWC’s approval and guidelines.
The party urged members involved in parallel arrangements to withdraw and embrace peace, while advising the newly recognised interim chairman to work towards reconciling all aggrieved stakeholders.
