Adele has announced she won’t be attending Rihanna’s big show at Wembley this June because she will be too busy saving her voice for her 2016 Glastonbury gig.
The 27-year-old singer explained that the reason why she won’t want to go support RiRi is because she is concerned that attending the show would passively get her accidentally stoned and damage her vocal chords ahead of her own show the next day.
“I love her. I’m thinking of going to Coventry to watch Rihanna because she’s playing Wembley the day before I play Glastonbury, and if I go to that, I’ll have no voice, I know it. All that weed in the air – I’ll get stoned,” Adele confessed to her fans on Twitter.
She added: “But I love her, honestly, all of that new album I love. I gotta try and see her.”
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker revealed that she would be making her Glastonbury debut whilst on stage at the O2 during her six-night residency, as she confessed that she’d struggled to keep the news secret. “Who’s going to Glastonbury this year? See you there. I’ll be there,” she asked the crowd.
She will take to the stage on Saturday night, joining Muse and Coldplay as the festival’s top billed acts this year.
