Popular singer Adekunle Gold has celebrated the 5th anniversary of his hit album “Afro Pop Vol. 1.” He recently thanked God for the creative inspiration that led to the success of the project.
In a heartfelt post via his Instagram page, Adekunle revealed that the album was a leap of faith that ended up transforming his music career.

According to him, the project opened doors he never thought possible, and he can only appreciate his loyal fans for embracing his sound and accepting his music at a very crucial point in his life.
He stated that the success of the project has definitely had a lasting impact on his musical journey.
“This album was my leap of faith. 5 years ago, I chose freedom because I knew I was bigger than the labels around me. That decision changed everything,” he wrote.
The musician further noted that despite the fear he was feeling before dropping it, he is forever grateful for the courage he summoned to share it with the world.
Adekunle concluded by saying that life has not been the same for him since “Afro Pop Vol. 1” was released.
“Fear became courage, and doors I never imagined started to open. I’m forever grateful for what this album did for me and everyone who embraced it. Nothing has been the same since then,” he added.
