Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has said that anyone who means well for the people of the state must align with the Federal Government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Yusuf made the remark while reiterating his earlier position on why he and others joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He insisted that Kano had “missed a lot” and that alignment with the central government was necessary to attract development and opportunities to the state.

“Anyone who means well for the people of Kano should align with the Federal Government, because we have missed a lot,” the governor stated.
He also submitted that Kano’s political gladiators are now more united than ever in the state’s political history.
The governor spoke on Monday when the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee paid him a courtesy visit, according to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.
Yusuf emphasised that since he and many others decamped to the APC, more people had continued to reunite, including previously divided political families.
He commended the committee for what he described as a successful conduct of the ward and local government congresses across the state.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Ward/LGA Congress Committee, Mr Lantep Dabang, thanked the governor for what he termed his fairness and leadership during the sharing of party positions, describing Yusuf as a man of integrity and justice.
