The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State has reaffirmed its readiness to assume leadership in the council and its five Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) ahead of the July 12 local government elections.
Chairman of the Alimosho PDP, Isiaka Shodiya, made the declaration on Saturday, expressing confidence in the party’s chances at the polls.
Shodiya said party leaders and supporters were fully mobilised to secure victory for PDP candidates in Alimosho LGA, as well as in Igando-Ikotun, Egbe-Idimu, Mosan-Okunola, Ayobo-Ipaja, and Agbado-Oke Odo LCDAs.

“We are proud of the PDP today. We are united and determined to win across all council areas in this local government,” he stated.
“PDP is fully on ground in Alimosho and Lagos State. By the special grace of Almighty God, we shall be victorious.”
The PDP chairman also called on the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) to ensure a transparent, credible, and fair electoral process, urging the commission to maintain neutrality in the discharge of its duties.
Shodiya criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), alleging that the party has failed to fulfil its electoral promises to the people.
He, therefore, charged voters in Alimosho and other parts of Lagos State to come out en masse on July 12 to support PDP candidates.
The PDP had earlier unveiled its chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the elections on Wednesday in Lagos.
