The 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) was a gathering to remember as movie stars from across Africa gathered in Lagos to celebrate the continent’s finest in entertainment. The night saw several standout performances, but it was Femi Adebayo who stole the show with his heartfelt acceptance speech after winning the “Best Lead Actor” award at the ceremony.
Femi, who was a nominee for the award alongside superstars like Gideon Okeke, Bucci Franklin, Femi Branch, and Thapelo Makoena, won the prestigious award for his role as Adedunjoye in “Seven Doors.” The actor’s emotional moment unfolded as he took the stage to accept his award, visibly moved to tears.
