Manchester United left Anthony Martial out of the squad to face Crystal Palace on Monday because of an injury, his club confirmed.
Jesse Lingard, who scored the winning goal against Chelsea as a substite last weekend, entered the lineup in Martial’s place in the only change for Jose Mourinho.
Asked about Martial’s omission pregame, Mourinho said only: “Injured. I don’t know [the extent of it]. Yesterday he felt that he wasn’t right.”
Scott McTominay retained his spot in midfield alongside Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.
Luke Shaw, Michael Carrick and Eric Bailly were all left on the bench.
