A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has called on Nigerians to remain patient with President Bola Tinubu as he works to address the nation’s economic challenges.
Speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye acknowledged the current hardship Nigerians are facing but expressed optimism that the situation would soon improve.
Oyintiloye noted that while Nigerians are enduring tough times, President Tinubu is tirelessly working around the clock to resolve the economic crisis.

He appealed for understanding, emphasising that the current economic difficulties were not created by the Tinubu administration.
“The president is not sleeping; he is working day and night to fix the economy.
The economic challenges we’re facing weren’t created by him, but he’s determined to put the nation on the right path,” Oyintiloye stated.
The APC chieftain further explained that the economic policies being introduced by President Tinubu may seem stringent in the short term but are designed to foster long-term growth and prosperity.
He highlighted that systemic reforms were crucial to reversing the declining state of the economy Tinubu inherited when he assumed office.
“President Tinubu came into office when the economy was nosediving, and it requires deep, systemic reforms.
We need to be patient and understand that these policies are for our future prosperity,” he added.
Oyintiloye also pointed out that while the results of Tinubu’s reforms are just beginning to manifest, they offer a glimmer of hope for a less challenging future.
He stressed that the president’s focus on economic diversification and structural reforms across various sectors is setting the stage for sustained growth.
“Though the results may seem minimal for now, the future looks brighter.
The president’s focus on agriculture, manufacturing, technology, and the blue economy is already making strides toward revitalising the country,” Oyintiloye remarked.
According to him, several initiatives are currently underway to improve the business climate, attract foreign direct investment, and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Oyintiloye believes that these efforts will yield positive outcomes with time, assuring Nigerians that their patience will eventually pay off.
“With a little patience, things will be well again, and Nigeria will rise again,” he concluded.
Oyintiloye’s remarks come as the Tinubu administration continues to face scrutiny over its handling of the economy, which has been characterised by rising inflation, unemployment, and growing public dissatisfaction.
However, the APC chieftain remains confident that with time and public support, President Tinubu’s policies will steer the country back to prosperity.
