Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has appealed to traders across Nigeria not to exacerbate the current economic challenges facing the country, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued on Monday, Ambassador Mumuni emphasized the importance of traders maintaining stable prices for essential food items. He urged them to consider the comfort of citizens, particularly Muslims fasting during Ramadan.
The statement, signed by his Media Aide, Rasheed Abubakar, also called on affluent members of society to support the needy and less privileged during this period.

Ambassador Mumuni congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the commencement of Ramadan, noting the simultaneous observance of Lent by Christians since February.
He encouraged both religious groups to utilize this period to enhance their spirituality and pray for the country’s economic recovery, increased security, prosperity, and wisdom for its leaders.
He emphasized the significance of prayer in transforming Nigeria’s fortunes and urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the country, emphasizing that collective efforts and prayers are essential for national development.
