The All Progressives Congress (APC) Diaspora Chairman, Italy Chapter, Prince Chima Ibezim, has called on party leaders and stakeholders in Enugu State to address the crisis affecting the party in the state.
In a statement issued on Friday in Lagos, Ibezim, who also serves as the Financial Director of the APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen (CDC), urged stakeholders to focus on strengthening the party in the state and the South East region.
Describing the current crisis in the Enugu chapter as regrettable, Ibezim advised all parties involved to prioritize peace and avoid actions that could further divide the party in the state and the region.

He encouraged party members to collaborate with dedicated leaders in the South East to enhance the APC’s presence in the region, highlighting the contributions of leaders like Commissioner Ginika Tor, who represents Enugu State in the Federal Character Commission.
Ibezim acknowledged the efforts of these leaders in supporting the emergence of the Renewed Hope administration under President Bola Tinubu, emphasizing the need for unity in the South East to maximize benefits from the current administration.
He called on the Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma, and other influential South-East leaders to intervene and resolve the issues facing the Enugu chapter.
The APC in Enugu has been embroiled in crisis following a vote-of-no-confidence passed by party stakeholders against the party Chairman, Mr. Ugochukwu Agballah.
