The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has rejected the report submitted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which alleged irregularities in the party’s primary held on April 20.
Describing the INEC verdict as “shocking,” the APC expressed disbelief and urged its members in the state to remain focused on the November 16 governorship election.
INEC officials reported several irregularities in the shadow election across the state’s 203 political wards, including the non-arrival of electoral materials in some areas and improper collation of results.

However, the APC Publicity Secretary in the state, Alex Kalejaye, accused some party members of plotting to discredit the process.
He clarified that while there were agitations in Ifedore and Ilaje local government areas, elections took place in all 18 local government areas.
Kalejaye stated, “The essence of such cancellations was to emphasize the validity of the entire process and lend credence to fairness. The party therefore doubts the authenticity of the report.
The party urges its teeming supporters to focus on winning the governorship election and retaining the Sunshine State for APC.”
