Blessing Agbomhere, the South-South organising secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has made a passionate appeal to the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje, to grant him the party’s governorship ticket for the forthcoming election in Edo State.
In a letter addressed to Ganduje, Agbomhere asserted his suitability for the position, emphasizing his ability to reignite the developmental strides initiated by former Governor Adams Oshiomhole in the state.
Highlighting his unwavering loyalty to the party, Agbomhere recalled his unsuccessful bid for the APC Edo Governorship Primary in 2016 when Governor Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shuaibu, were chosen over him.

He also mentioned another unsuccessful attempt in the 2017 House of Representatives primary.
Addressing his commitment to the APC, Agbomhere stated, “When Governor Obaseki abandoned the party, I stood with the party. I have committed my expertise and resources to supporting the APC in Edo and across the nation.”
Asserting his contributions to the party, Agbomhere appealed to Ganduje to acknowledge his efforts by granting him the APC ticket for the upcoming governorship election.
He expressed his readiness to lead Edo State towards a new era of growth and development, inspired by the accomplishments of Oshiomhole’s administration.
Agbomhere’s plea underscores the intensifying political dynamics within the APC as aspirants position themselves for the Edo State governorship race, setting the stage for a competitive selection process ahead of the election.
