The All Progressive Congress (APC) has officially withdrawn the charges of anti-party activities against Hon. Yori Afolabi, former Minority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly.
This decision was communicated in a brief statement signed by Hon. Komolafe Kayode Idowu, the Chairman of APC, Iyah/Ayeh Ward under Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Hon. Afolabi, who is a member of the APC in Ijumu, had been suspended from the party on March 8, 2023.

The withdrawal letter, which was one page long, stated, “Sequel to the letter of suspension of Hon. Yori Afolabi from the party, dated March 8, 2023, the underlisted Iyah Gbede Ward executives of APC hereby withdraw and drop all charges against him for peaceful community settlement.”
The decision to withdraw the charges against Hon. Afolabi indicates a shift in the party’s stance towards him and reflects a willingness to resolve any internal issues amicably.
This development is expected to have implications for the political dynamics within the APC in Kogi State.
The withdrawal of the charges against Hon. Afolabi represents a step towards reconciliation within the party and could potentially contribute to a more unified front as the APC prepares for future political engagements in the state.
