The APC Youth Network Worldwide has criticized Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, over his recent remarks against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, describing them as “reckless, misleading, and unbecoming of a ranking lawmaker.”
In a statement issued on Thursday after a strategic meeting in Abuja, the group strongly condemned Ndume’s claims that the Tinubu-led government was mismanaging borrowed funds and violating constitutional provisions on federal character in federal appointments.
Coordinator of the group, Abubakar Gidado, said the senator’s comments were not only inaccurate but also aimed at undermining public confidence in the APC-led government.

“We find Senator Ndume’s comments unfortunate and disgraceful, especially coming from someone who has benefited immensely from the same APC government,” Gidado stated.
He maintained that the budgeting framework under Tinubu’s administration was one of the most transparent in recent history, highlighting reforms that prioritize capital projects, reduce waste, and cut recurrent expenditure.
“This administration has shown a deep commitment to fiscal prudence—something Ndume conveniently ignores in his emotional outbursts,” Gidado added.
On allegations of federal character violations, the group defended Tinubu’s appointments, stating they reflect regional balance and national inclusion.
“The president has appointed Nigerians from all regions into key positions. If Senator Ndume is still stuck in the past, he should bring himself up to speed with recent developments,” the statement read.
The group further accused Ndume of chasing media relevance through controversial statements and urged him to focus on his legislative duties.
“We will not allow political actors to distort the hard work and vision of this administration for personal gain or media spotlight,” Gidado concluded.
He reaffirmed the continued support of the APC youth wing and millions of Nigerians for the Tinubu administration.
