As part of renewed efforts to reclaim political relevance in Imo State and across the Southeast, the Imo State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), John Iwuala, has declared that the party remains Nigeria’s foremost political platform with ideologies centered on human dignity and progress.
Iwuala made the assertion while receiving members of the APGA Students Movement (ASM), who paid a courtesy visit to the party’s state headquarters in Owerri.
Describing APGA as a party built on the principles of humanism and egalitarianism, the chairman said the party was founded by visionaries who desired a just society free from hunger, racism, and autocracy.

“APGA is a youth-friendly party that believes in rejuvenation. We are restrategizing and will bounce back to reclaim power in Imo State and dominate the Southeast and beyond come 2027,” Iwuala stated.
He added that the party would soon embark on youth empowerment programs, including skill acquisition training and targeted support initiatives.
Encouraging the visiting students, Iwuala urged them to promote APGA’s values in their respective institutions.
“APGA is in the DNA of every true Igbo breed. It is the only peaceful and united party in Nigeria with ideologies that prioritize people’s welfare,” he said.
Highlighting the party’s internal stability, Iwuala noted that APGA has no leadership crisis, unlike other political parties in the country. He expressed confidence in the role of young people in reviving the party’s fortunes.
“With your youthful spirit and determination for a better society, APGA will soar higher and achieve greater success in future elections. Be courageous, study hard, and spread the gospel of APGA across your campuses,” he added.
The visit by the students’ wing comes amid ongoing internal mobilization and restructuring efforts by APGA across the Southeast ahead of the next general elections.
