The Arewa 19 Pyramid for Grassroots Development has called on political stakeholders and interest groups to stop distracting President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima from their mandate of delivering good governance.
Speaking at a press conference in Gombe on Saturday, the group’s convener, Mr. Ahmed Abdulraheem, described the Tinubu-Shettima partnership as a symbol of political stability, inclusion, and renewed focus on national progress.
According to Abdulraheem, the administration is on the right path towards prosperity and development and must not be derailed by unnecessary political speculation or divisive narratives.
“It is not yet time for politics. The present leadership still has time to deliver on its promises. Political groups or individuals must not be allowed to shift their attention away from consolidating the achievements already recorded,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to remain focused and united, adding, “This is a defining moment for our country — we must put Nigeria first and politics later.
The time for elections will come, but now is the time to serve the people and build a secure, prosperous nation.”
Abdulraheem also expressed concern over recent attempts to undermine Vice President Shettima’s role in government, describing such moves as “a disservice to the nation and an affront to the North.”
“Shettima has earned his place through years of service and sacrifice for national unity. The seeds of internal division must not be allowed to take root,” he warned.
The group called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to close ranks and work in unity, pledging continued support for the Tinubu-Shettima administration.
“Arewa 19 Pyramid stands firmly behind this government and remains committed to promoting unity, youth empowerment, civic engagement, and inclusive development across Northern Nigeria and beyond,” Abdulraheem added.
